若經部解，由方便時正苦有情故，還於地獄受苦受果，由根本業正斷他命故，得人中短命之果，由後起業壞他光澤故，得增上果，所以三業各得一果，但以前後業從根本業，故云一業得三種。

According to the explanation of the Sautrāntika, because during the preliminary stage one directly torments sentient beings, one in turn experiences the fruit of experiencing suffering in the hells; because by the fundamental action one directly cuts off another's life, one obtains the fruit of a short lifespan among humans; and because by the subsequent action one destroys another's vitality, one obtains the sovereign fruit. Therefore, the three actions each obtain one fruit, but because the preceding and subsequent actions conform to the fundamental action, it is said that a single action obtains three kinds.
