Regarding 'What is abandoning the yoke of seclusion? It refers to [abandoning] marginal bedding and seats in seclusion, etc.': Jing states: 'In a wilderness (araṇya) dwelling, in order to be secluded from others, bedding and seats are of the lowest quality, hence called "marginal". If one dwells in such a place, one is secluded from manifold evils and secluded from frequentation by people; although one dwells in an empty forest, it is like a quiet chamber. Why? Dwelling within this seclusion is like an ox harnessed to a yoke, unable to indulge in laxity. Now, discarding it far away, one does not give rise to desire and pleasure, hence "abandoning the yoke of seclusion".'
