As for "because all ordinary beings are able to practice it, with the sole exception of bodhisattvas who have already entered the far-reaching ground": the text below says that on the sixth ground one enters the concentration of cessation, and a bodhisattva on the seventh ground enters the concentration of cessation thought-moment by thought-moment. In principle, from the first ground upward, all attain the concentration of cessation. Yet, because the characteristics of the grounds attained on the first, second, and third grounds are similar to the worldly, the fourth ground corresponds to the stream-enterer, and the fifth ground to the once-returner, on the first five grounds one has not yet attained the concentration of cessation. The sixth ground corresponds to the non-returner, and the seventh ground corresponds to the arhat; therefore, the treatise speaks specifically of attaining the concentration of cessation [there].
