第三、辨攝清淨，云依於三處等者，一、依增上心；二、依增上慧；三、依慧增上初修業地。依增上心慧學處為斷餘結，修念住等菩提分法之所依止故名攝清淨。

Third, distinguishing the purification of gathering. It says "relying on three bases, and so forth": first, relying on higher mind; second, relying on higher wisdom; third, relying on the beginner's stage where wisdom is dominant. Relying on the trainings of higher mind and wisdom to sever the remaining fetters, it is that upon which the factors of awakening such as the applications of mindfulness are cultivated and relied; therefore, it is called the purification of gathering.
