17.370

又彼相雜而相應故等者，謂彼染心與諸煩惱相雜相應而不解脫，若染心斷淨心生時能依心所亦得清淨，故彼淨心不為現緣所染領受前境。

'Furthermore, because it is commingled and conjoined with that, etc.' means that that defiled mind is commingled and conjoined with the afflictions and not liberated; if the defiled mind is severed and a pure mind arises, the dependent mental factors also attain purity; therefore, that pure mind is not defiled by present conditions when experiencing prior objective fields.
