言此中乃至後一不由次第定故等者，從滅定出有漏淨定，先入無色後入色界故。明次第無漏，但入無所有處，或入識處空處，無漏現行故言後一不由次第定入於此無漏之定，然由通達無相真如界時故起此定。

As for 'Herein, up to the last one is not by an absorption of successive order, etc.', emerging from the cessation absorption into a pure tainted absorption, one first enters the formless realm and later enters the form realm; hence it explains the successive order. With respect to the untainted, one only enters the sphere of nothingness, or enters the sphere of consciousness or the sphere of space, and the untainted becomes active; therefore it says that the last one enters this untainted absorption not by an absorption of successive order, but rather arises because one has penetrated the realm of markless tathatā.
