17.373

言又此識諸定非唯滅定出已方得。亦先已得，亦起現前者，此據曾得種類故言先得，亦有未曾得心出定方起，故云亦先已得。

As for 'Moreover, these absorptions of this consciousness are not attained only after emerging from the cessation absorption, but have also been previously attained and also arise present', this is said in terms of their generic kind having been previously attained; hence it says 'previously attained'. There are also minds never previously attained that arise only upon emerging from absorption; hence it says 'also previously attained'.
