自下第三以六門重決擇三摩呬多地。初明有三因緣遠離尋伺，一、遠離所尋思事，二、厭患尋伺自性，三、由先起厭今正遠離故，名遠離自性。由三因緣離尋思根，一、上根頓離；二、中根漸離；三者、下根於諸尋思深見過患。

Below, the third [part] re-evaluates the Samāhitā Bhūmiḥ by means of six approaches. First, it clarifies that there are three causes and conditions for being free from investigation and reflection: 1. being free from the objects investigated; 2. revulsion toward the intrinsic nature of investigation and reflection; 3. because one previously gave rise to revulsion and is now directly becoming free, it is called being free from their intrinsic nature. Through three causes and conditions one is free from the roots of investigation: 1. those of superior faculties are freed abruptly; 2. those of middling faculties are freed gradually; 3. those of inferior faculties deeply see faults in investigations.
