17.420

有饒益師者，須損減師者不須四，戒五，定六，慧七，於弟子大眾事毀僧事不能堪忍，雖善大眾為是弟子故不忍八。又解：同泰。

benefiting the master is needed, whereas diminishing the master is not needed, which is the fourth; morality is the fifth; concentration is the sixth; wisdom is the seventh; and being unable to endure disciples' affairs of the great assembly that harm the affairs of the Saṅgha, so that even though the great assembly is good, one cannot endure it on account of this disciple, is the eighth. Another explanation is identical to Tai's.
