Question: Among the seven dharmas, adding the factor of concentration, one-pointedness of mind is established across all four dhyāna stages, which presents no hindrance; feeling is common to all four stages, establishing joy, establishing pleasure, and establishing neither-pain-nor-pleasure, which also presents no hindrance; investigation and reflection only reach up to the first dhyāna, and are not established in higher stages, which also presents no hindrance. As for the three of mindfulness, equanimity, and wisdom, which exist in all stages, why are they not established as limbs in the first dhyāna?
