第七解散動門，景云：然者此文尋伺則在根本地中，故論問言若尋伺等於初禪慮等中皆能攝益勝三摩地。又能攝受自地靜慮皆令清淨，何故世尊說名為動。然西方相傳，唯在方便地中有尋伺也。

In the seventh section explaining the door of agitation, Jing says: If that is so, then in this text investigation and reflection exist in the fundamental stage. Therefore the treatise asks: if investigation, reflection, and so forth in the first dhyāna and the like are all able to assist the superior samādhi, and are also able to maintain the dhyāna of their own stage, causing it all to be pure, why does the World-Honoured One call them agitation? However, the western tradition holds that investigation and reflection exist only in the preparatory stages.
