17.72

所以者何已下，釋下緣之相。景云：此文即說上地慢緣於下地，或邪見下撥餘無下緣相。基云：即大乘中上地得緣下地起煩惱。

From "For what reason?" onwards, it explains the signs of taking lower realms as objects. Jing says: this text specifically speaks of conceit in higher stages taking lower stages as objects, or wrong views negating what is lower, while other afflictions do not take lower realms as objects. Ji says: this means that in Mahāyāna, higher stages are able to take lower stages as objects to give rise to afflictions.
