Ji says: Among the explanations of the five kinds of taintless, based on the five meanings they do not necessarily subsume everything, for prātimokṣa morality and so forth are subsumed under the taintless. In the second, regarding "all wholesome ones" within "called taintless because the latencies have been severed, etc.," these are the wholesome bodily and vocal karma and precepts of those in training; "one portion of indeterminate ones" refers to the indeterminate bodily and vocal karma of those beyond training, which are called taintless because they arise within a taintless body and through the inducing power of the taintless. Because they do not take the rest, they are called "one portion." "All indeterminate ones" refers to the four indeterminate minds. Some people here also identify them with the five faculties; this is incorrect, because they are not induced by the power of the taintless, and being of an old category, they are not like bodily and vocal karma.
