對治修中，厭患治者，謂一切世間善道除四無量及五神通，以非厭患對治所以除之。持對治者，謂此後得世出世道若解脫道者，此有兩解。一云，此文即許無分別智為無礙斷惑，後智為解脫黑外證除名持對治；二云：謂此後得世出世道者，此取後智為解脫道者，此取無分別智為解脫果，用一智為解脫道，雖有二解為勝。

In cultivation of counteraction: regarding the counteraction of revulsion, this refers to all worldly wholesome paths, excluding the four immeasurables and the five supernormal knowledges; because they are not counteractions of revulsion, they are excluded. Regarding the counteraction of maintenance: this refers to this subsequently attained worldly and transworldly path, or the path of liberation. There are two explanations of this. One says: this text allows that non-conceptual wisdom is the unhindered path that severs afflictions, while subsequent wisdom is the path of liberation that realizes removal outside of darkness, termed the counteraction of maintenance. The second says: 'this subsequently attained worldly and transworldly path' takes subsequent wisdom; 'the path of liberation' takes non-conceptual wisdom as the fruit of liberation, using one wisdom as the path of liberation. Although there are two explanations, [the former] is superior.
