言若言爾者；順解脫分善根，應無有果等者，景云：若爾，先種解脫分應空無果，還作無性故。又若爾不定，即決定性者，不應道理。

Where it says 'If that were so, then roots of goodness conducive to liberation would be without fruition, and so forth': Jing says: 'If that were so, previously planted aids to liberation would be empty and without fruition, because they would become natureless again. Furthermore, if that were so, [holding that] the indeterminate is precisely the determined nature is unreasonable.'
