泰云：又釋，但能吐舌名半起屍，如傳說西方呪法，若呪死屍吐舌，得其舌者能得雨劍，得此劍者身昇虛空得往諸仙處，其屍作上全也。今更引新根本薩婆多部律釋之。如前第五十九卷記。

Tai says: In another explanation, if it can only stick out its tongue, it is called a half corpse-revival. As related in the incantation methods of the Western regions: if one chants incantations over a corpse to stick out its tongue, one who obtains its tongue can obtain a rain of swords; one who obtains this sword ascends bodily into the sky and can go to the places of the ṛṣis. If the corpse performs the above, it is complete. Now I further cite the new Mūlasarvāstivāda Vinaya to explain it, as in the record of the fifty-ninth fascicle above.
