泰云：於八種中多貪名垢，第七執取於見是見取，及謂惠施捨財，但有彼生死離染果故慳不慧施，此是通方便，謂為非是方便故邪見攝；餘文可解。

Tai says: Among the eight kinds, excessive greed is called defilement. The seventh, tenaciously grasping onto views, is attachment to views; and claiming that wise generosity in relinquishing wealth only yields the fruit of detachment within saṃsāra, and thus being stingy and not practicing wise generosity—this is taking a general expedient means and asserting that it is not an expedient means, and hence is subsumed under wrong view. The rest of the text is intelligible.
