二十一明近事三德。言能引發同法不同法者智者，有漏智名同法，無漏智名不同法。又解：同學鄔波索迦名為同法，餘不同學在家人及出家五眾名不同法也。

Twenty-first, explaining the three virtues of a lay practitioner (upāsaka). The statement 'able to engender the knowledge of those of the same Dharma and those of a different Dharma': mundane knowledge is called 'the same Dharma', and taintless knowledge is called 'a different Dharma'. Another explanation: fellow upāsakas are called 'the same Dharma', while the remaining householders who are not fellow learners and the five assemblies of renunciants are called 'a different Dharma'.
