Below, it is illuminated by analogy, from 'a practitioner bhikṣu' up to 'constantly and uninterruptedly functioning'. It is like when contemplating bones: if one has not yet contemplated broadly, one first contemplates a skull, and so on up to contemplating the foot, and the rope-bed directly relied upon, as bone; one room, one saṅghārāma, one village, one settlement, one country, and even the great earth are all filled with bones. Afterwards, when wishing to eliminate the seen bones through sensory conditions, because of having long practiced the contemplation, the object of bones appears before one and cannot be eliminated. One then has the thought: 'Although such a heap of bones fills the great earth, it is merely established through the conceptual imagination of my own mind.' By examining one's fundamental mind, the characteristics of bones are eliminated. How much more so earlier, when the parikalpita clings to an object as having a fixed nature, there is only one's own mind, and no phenomena outside the mind.
