19.62

三十八明七漸次證達諸法。言發勤精進故至障得清淨者，法是內施財為外施，此內外施不平等心，不能與定體起處方便。由精進故離此定，起處方便障得清淨也。

Thirty-eighth, explaining the seven gradual realizations of all dharmas. The passage from 'due to exerting diligent vigor' up to 'the hindrances become purified': the Dharma is internal giving, while wealth is external giving; this unequal mind regarding internal and external giving cannot provide the expedients for the arising of the essence of meditative stabilization. Due to vigor, one departs from this, and the hindrances to the expedients for the arising of meditative stabilization become purified.
