19.78

言依初離染相續通達八聖支道。立第一智等者，此是異生離邪信聖道智，即生得善也。以此為依修，餘三智即加行善也。

Regarding the statement: 'relying on the initial severance of defilement and the continuous penetration of the eight noble path-limbs, one establishes the first gnosis,' and so forth: this is the ordinary person's gnosis of the noble path that abandons wrong faith, which is innate goodness. Relying on this to cultivate the remaining three gnoses is goodness of applied preparation.
