第二解相中，尋伺體性者，謂不深推度所緣，思為體性。若深推度所緣，慧為體性者，與對法相違，故彼論云：尋伺者。若思、若慧、若推度、若不推度，如其次第。

Second, in explaining the characteristics: regarding the intrinsic nature of investigation and reflection, it is volition taking the intentional object as its intrinsic nature when not deeply deliberating. If deeply deliberating upon the intentional object, wisdom is its intrinsic nature; this contradicts the *Abhidharmasamuccaya*, which states in that treatise: 'Investigation and reflection are volition or wisdom, deliberating or not deliberating, respectively.'
