第三釋三世五蘊經，因相者，謂今有可生未來法之因，故依此因假說有未來。自相者，今似有自體也。果相者，先業之果，今有故也。

Third, in explaining the sūtra on the five aggregates of the three times: as for ‘causal characteristics’, it means that there is now a cause that can produce future dharmas, and therefore, relying on this cause, the future is metaphorically designated as existent. As for ‘own-characteristics’, it means that there now seems to be an own-nature. As for ‘fruitional characteristics’, it means that because the fruit of previous karma exists now.
