初中若已觀察違諸量故者，現比二量所不得故，猶如兔角，定非實有，彼宗雖計現量所得，此宗說非量知，逈色但有阿拏以上麁色現量可得，非極微故。

In the first, regarding "if already investigated, it contradicts all means of valid cognition (pramāṇa)": Because it cannot be obtained by either of the two pramāṇas, direct perception (pratyakṣa) and inference (anumāna), it is just like a rabbit's horn and definitely not truly existent. Although that school posits that it is obtained by direct perception, this school states that it is not known by valid cognition; isolated form has only coarse forms from aņu and above that can be obtained by direct perception, and is not an atom.
