有出家外道名曰無繫等者，即尼健子，計隨所住處百由旬內，所有眾生於彼，作不殺成律儀，作殺成不律儀，百由旬外彼皆不成，經為除此說如是言一切有情所，非唯百由旬內。

"There are renouncers of non-Buddhist traditions called the Nirgranthas," and so forth: that is, the Nirgrantha followers. They hold that within a hundred yojanas of wherever one resides, regarding all sentient beings therein, undertaking not killing constitutes restraint (saṃvara), while undertaking killing constitutes non-restraint (asaṃvara); beyond a hundred yojanas, neither is constituted. To eliminate this, the sūtra speaks thus: "in relation to all sentient beings," not only within a hundred yojanas.
