結略義中有三重：初攝九為四，於中景云：殺生相貌者，血塗其手等；殺生作用者，謂害極害執等；殺生因緣及與殺生事用差別者，謂前無差恥等多句。基云：相貌者，是第二句血塗其手；作用者，則第三句害極害執；因緣者，則第一句最極暴惡殺害之心，正現在前。

In concluding with the summarized meaning, there are three layers. First, subsuming the nine into four: therein Jing says: the characteristics of killing living beings are "blood smearing one's hands," and so on; the function of killing living beings refers to "harm, extreme harm, adherence," and so on; the causes and conditions of killing living beings together with the distinctions of the activities and objects of killing living beings refer to the preceding multiple phrases such as "without shame," and so on. Ji says: The characteristic is the second phrase, "blood smearing one's hands"; the function is the third phrase, "harm, extreme harm, adherence"; the causes and conditions are the first phrase, "the most intensely cruel mind of killing directly manifesting."
