2.96

初中，即三依依處，施設因者，體是依處，義稱為因。義依體立故說十因，依十五處。依處名者，語因即依處，乃至無障礙則依處，皆持業，既依依處即建立因，隨說即因，乃至不相違即因，亦皆持業。

In the first [part], regarding the three grounds of support upon which causes are designated: their substance is the ground of support, while conceptually they are called causes. Because the concept is established upon the substance, it is said that the ten causes are based on the fifteen grounds of support. Regarding the names of the grounds of support: from 'speech as cause is the ground of support' down to 'non-obstruction is the ground of support,' all are karmadhāraya compounds. Since causes are established based on grounds of support, from 'conventional expression is the cause' down to 'non-opposition is the cause,' all are likewise karmadhāraya compounds.
