20.131

言若離名言諸法自性，當知此性凡夫所生邪執為緣，已生及已滅等者，若離隨名言性，所有諸法即是依他有生有滅。言若未永斷乃至乃成清淨者，依他染法即是苦集，若未永斷集未遍知苦便成生死，若知若斷乃成滅道清淨之法。

As for the statement "if, apart from verbal expressions, the self-nature of all phenomena—it should be known that taking the erroneous graspings born of ordinary persons as condition, [these phenomena] have already arisen and already ceased, and so forth": if apart from the nature that conforms to verbal expressions, all existing phenomena are paratantra, possessing arising and cessation. As for the statement "if not yet perpetually severed" up to "only then will it become pure": the defiled phenomena of paratantra are suffering and origination; if origination is not yet perpetually severed and suffering is not yet thoroughly known, it constitutes saṃsāra; if known and if severed, it then constitutes the pure phenomena of cessation and the path.
