六明四法能令攝正多聞，有二四法後四以釋前四謂由菩提願任持多聞，由事善友證多聞，即得聞慧也。由得思慧思擇力故名多聞果，由住空閑故名多聞淨，即是修慧也。

Sixth, explaining that four dharmas are able to encompass right extensive learning. There are two sets of four dharmas; the latter four explain the former four. That is: through the vow for bodhi one upholds extensive learning; through serving good friends one realizes extensive learning, which is obtaining the wisdom arisen from hearing. Through obtaining the wisdom arisen from reflection, the power of discerning contemplation is called the fruition of extensive learning; through abiding in seclusion it is called the purity of extensive learning, which is the wisdom arisen from cultivation.
