20.17

第六解通達門，世智思惟所執空時，即有空相當心而起，不能親證真如，名行有相，出世間智通達所執真如，名行無相，達餘二性當知亦爾。

In the sixth gate explaining comprehension: when worldly cognition contemplates that what is grasped is empty, an image of emptiness arises corresponding to the mind and cannot directly realize tathatā; this is called functioning with marks. When supramundane cognition comprehends the tathatā of what is grasped, this is called functioning without marks. One should know that comprehension of the other two natures is likewise.
