Master Bei and others say: As the Mahāyānasaṃgraha says, 'The discriminated nature is the realm of ordinary persons; the true nature is the realm of noble ones; the dependent nature is the realm of both ordinary persons and noble ones'—this states the domain based on conceptual grasping. When the treatise and the Mahāyānasaṃgraha also say that the three natures are all called what should be known, it is called 'known' because cognition thoroughly knows parikalpita as non-existent. The paratantra nature is the domain of both ordinary and noble cognitions, but is not the object of correct cognition; pariniṣpanna is solely the object of correct cognition and not the domain of subsequently attained cognition, because as the treatise says, the image-aspect of tathatā is the paratantra nature. In accordance with this text, the various consciousnesses that are objects of the ālayavijñāna are not objective conditions.
