四、法爾道理，如來出世至名法爾道理者，地常堅性乃至風常動性，善招樂報惡招苦果，故言有佛無佛法性安住法住法界。就行相中，已辨第七，次解第八總別，謂總標一句，後後諸句廣釋明了，其義可知。

"Fourth, the reasoning of the nature of phenomena (dharmatā-yukti): whether Tathāgatas appear in the world […] is called the reasoning of the nature of phenomena": earth always has the nature of solidity, up to wind always having the nature of movement; wholesome deeds bring forth pleasant retributions, and unwholesome deeds bring forth painful fruits; therefore it is said that whether Buddhas exist or do not exist, the nature of dharmas abides stably in the dharma-realm of stable dharmas. Within the mental aspects, the seventh has already been distinguished; next, the eighth, general and specific, is explained: that is, a single general phrase is set forth, and the subsequent phrases explain it extensively and clearly; its meaning can be understood.
