四因緣故者，能善了知涅槃樂住，堪能速證證為第一，而復棄捨速證樂住為第二，無緣無待發大願心為第三，為欲利他處長時苦為第四，雖有六段。

As for 'due to four causes and conditions': being able to thoroughly know the joyful abode of nirvāṇa and being capable of realizing it quickly is the first; yet relinquishing the joyful abode of quick realization is the second; giving rise to the mind of great vows without conditions and without dependence is the third; and enduring long-lasting suffering for the sake of benefiting others is the fourth.
