21.72

初解契經。若於是處至名契經者，依毘婆沙解三藏差別中，或詮於定名修多羅，或云種種雜說名修多羅等，今則當種種雜說名為契經。謂依四事、九事、二十九事者，開列二門。

First, explaining the sūtras. Regarding "if in a place... up to: 'named sūtra'": in reliance on the explanations of the distinctions among the three baskets in the Vibhāṣā, either what explains samādhi is called sūtra, or various miscellaneous discourses are called sūtras, and so forth; here, it corresponds to various miscellaneous discourses being named sūtras. Regarding "relying on four matters, nine matters, and twenty-nine matters": two gates are opened and listed.
