In the third [section], explaining the 'twofold wisdom,' the Tripiṭaka Master says: Because it explains the wisdom of the Great Teacher in two consecutive explanations, it is called 'twofold wisdom.' Moreover, from '[wisdom of the] Great Master' onward, it is explained according to the second meaning. Jing says: Although there are names for various wisdoms, they are collectively termed the 'twofold wisdom,' which is an alternative designation. Master Tai further says: Because the Teacher is the first and wisdom is the second, it should be called the 'second wisdom'; but simply omitting the word 'number' (di), the verse says 'two wisdoms.'
