第五解八聖道，有三十句，黠了等者，是正見，但解正見、正語、業、命等。言了知分別體者，知能緣心也。又黠了者：知自相通達者，知共相者：後智知自相，正智知共相也。

Fifth, explaining the eightfold noble path, there are thirty phrases. 'Cleverly discerning' and so forth is right view; it only explains right view, right speech, action, livelihood, and so forth. The phrase 'knowing the differentiated essence' means knowing the cognizing mind. Furthermore, 'cleverly discerning' means knowing the specific characteristic, and 'penetrating' means knowing the common characteristic: subsequently attained wisdom knows the specific characteristic, while fundamental wisdom knows the common characteristic.
