第三解行緣，初總標，次別，後總結。別解中，即有四人，一、內法異生，二、在家異生，三、外道異生，四、內法有學。此四人中，各有二句，先明不如實，後明如實。泰師云：此是四人不如實知中令清淨故，名如實顯。

Third, in explaining the conditions for practice, first there is a general presentation, next the particulars, and finally a general summary. In the particular explanation, there are four types of persons: 1. ordinary persons within the Dharma; 2. householder ordinary persons; 3. non-Buddhist ordinary persons; and 4. trainees within the Dharma. For each of these four persons, there are two clauses: first explaining what is not in accordance with reality, and next explaining what is in accordance with reality. Master Tai says: 'Because this brings about purification amidst the failure of these four persons to know in accordance with reality, it is called true manifestation.'
