慧為上首者，為令遠離計著虛妄聲譽稱讚苾芻體故，明求真智勿著聲譽。
"Wisdom as foremost": in order to cause abandonment of the substance of a bhikṣu who conceptualizes and clings to false renown and praise; it clarifies that one should seek true wisdom and not cling to renown.
