23.43

景師云：由二種相乃至我已了知者，今遇聖人，由三種相記莂聖者應言由二種，即是向前二種聖者之相，一、種姓滿故，二、但物類者，記已命終等。

Master Jing says: Regarding 'From two kinds of marks up to I have already comprehended': encountering a noble person now, prophesying a noble one by means of three marks should say by means of two, which are the previous two marks of a noble one: 1. because the lineage is complete, and 2. merely the class of beings, such as prophesying that they have already passed away and so forth.
