24.104

前門中說厭欲出家故，於染著之法生欲已，得寂靜餘二未靜。今後門說復有一類於諸欲中未離貪者，由於諸欲未斷故一切未靜，已離欲貪得初靜慮竟已者，則與前同。

In the previous gate, it said that because one disdains desire and goes forth, after producing desire regarding objects of attachment, one attains quiescence while the remaining two are not yet quiescent. Now, this latter gate says that furthermore there is a class who have not separated from greed regarding desires; because desires are not severed, all are not yet quiescent. When one has already separated from lustful desire and attained the first dhyāna, it is the same as the previous.
