Sixth, it explains questioning. Regarding "the latter four kinds," this refers to 'all are impermanent,' etc., clarifying categorical declaration. From "intentionally creating karma" downward, it clarifies analytical declaration. Master Jing explains: "'Intentionally creating karma, one will experience suffering'—this is not categorically obtained; because this karma pertains to both good and evil, how could one definitely say one will experience suffering? 'Abiding in the present phenomenon, one definitely realizes parinirvāṇa' is also not categorical; because apart from equanimity, suffering, and pleasure, the feeling of equanimity does not definitely lead to realizing parinirvāṇa in the present, since both ordinary persons and nobles can attain equanimity; these two alternatives should be declared analytically." Master Da says: "Regarding 'or one obtains equanimity': this karma intentionally created may have the sense of being set aside; 'in the present phenomenon one definitely realizes parinirvāṇa' is also not categorical: if someone asks, 'Do all noble persons definitely realize parinirvāṇa in the present phenomenon?', one now answers analytically, saying it is not categorical because it is indefinite."
