第三勸勉，言安立四義者，一、聽聞正法義理，二、受持讀誦，三、觀察義理，四、法隨法行亦名如說修行。

The third [gate] is exhortation. Regarding 'establishing four meanings': first, hearing the principles of the true Dharma; second, upholding, reciting, and chanting them; third, contemplating the principles; fourth, practice in conformity with the Dharma, which is also called practicing as taught.
