第二解力，若略說者，四力持心令定乃至持於等持中，但有爾所等持作事。除此，更無若過若增者，除欲進心慧及除四力之外，更無求定因緣若過若增。

Second, explaining strength: regarding 'if briefly stated, the four strengths support the mind to make it concentrated' up to 'maintaining within samādhi, there is only that much functional activity of samādhi; other than this, there is nothing that surpasses or exceeds it'—aside from aspiration, vigor, mind, and discernment, and aside from the four strengths, there are no further causes and conditions for seeking samādhi that either surpass or exceed them.
