初解尊重尸羅，言如是二行，開為四種，即此四種，合為二行，此二與四，平等平等者，有能有三，謂能生三學故，或下中上即正行人，無能但一，即邪行人，故成四種。

First is to explain venerating śīla. As for 'such two practices are expanded into four kinds, and these four kinds are combined into two practices; these two and four are completely equal': those with capacity are three, meaning those capable of generating the three trainings, or the lower, middle, and upper, which are practitioners of the correct path; those without capacity are only one, which are practitioners of erroneous paths; thus four kinds are formed.
