若擯羯磨者，若犯重罪究竟擯出眾外，殘若行惡行污他家，則擯出聚落。
"Regarding 'the karman of banishment' (pravājanīya): if one commits a grave offense, one is definitively expelled outside the assembly; if one commits a lesser offense (śeṣa) such as wicked conduct defiling lay families, one is expelled from the village settlement."
