十一解大義，景師云：觀苦之智如本足，以初得故，集智斷集，如牆壁障賊，滅智漸高，如下層級，道智如上臺。

Eleventh, in explaining great meaning: Master Jing says: The knowledge observing suffering is like the foundation, because it is attained first; the knowledge of origin cuts off origin, like a wall keeping out thieves; the knowledge of cessation rises gradually higher, like lower steps; and the knowledge of the path is like the upper terrace.
