From "Furthermore, due to the formless..." downward, it differentiates according to the meanings, but only distinguishes the four loci of the second characteristic. It first clarifies the reasons for establishing the sixty-two realms, having thirteen distinct excellences. In the Dīrgha Āgama, through defiled conceptualizations and investigations, the three realms of desire, malice, and so forth are established; through pure investigations, the three realms of freedom from desire, malice, and so forth are established. Regarding "Furthermore, because the two categories of defilement and purity of the three realms have an omnipresent meaning, there are the remaining four realms, etc.": because the four aggregates pervade the three realms and pervade defilement and purity, whereas matter is not so. In explaining the realms, there are three kinds: namely, general meaning and so forth, light and so forth, and feeling and so forth; the first two have already been explained.
