若雜體者，唯識論云：或名色種總攝五因，於中隨勝立餘四種，六處與識總別亦然，此等唯種。說現行者，准識支會。

If taken as mixed essences, the Vijñaptimātratā treatise says: 'Or the seeds of name-and-form generally subsume the five causes, and among them the remaining four kinds are established according to prominence; the general and specific relation between the six bases and consciousness is also like this.' These are solely seeds. As for stating that they are active states, it should be reconciled following [the explanation of] the consciousness branch.
