答：依心解脫者而施設故等者，此意釋言，未入聖前初資糧位先順次第觀，加行道中逆次第觀起四十四智等，入見道等順次第斷故無明滅即行滅等，依止無學解脫身中現在名色為先受為後，四支種子不能為因生未來世生老死果，此說苦因不能生。

To the answer, "Because it is designated based on one whose mind is liberated," and so on: The intended meaning explains that before entering the noble [path], in the initial stage of provisioning, one first contemplates in direct order; in the path of preparation, one contemplates in reverse order, generating the forty-four cognitions and so forth; entering the path of seeing and beyond, one abandons in direct order, so that with the cessation of ignorance there is the cessation of formations, and so on. In the liberated body of an aśaikha, taking present name-and-form as first and feeling as last, the seeds of the four branches cannot serve as causes to produce the fruits of birth and aging-and-death in future lives; this explains that the causes of suffering cannot produce.
