此中景有二解：一云，不如理作意者約現在無明相應不正思惟說，此由無明故染不能染無明故不說為無明因；二云，是與過去無明相應作意。

Here Master Jing provides two interpretations: first, improper attention is spoken in terms of improper reflection concomitant with present ignorance; this becomes defiled due to ignorance, but cannot defile ignorance, and so is not said to be a cause of ignorance. Second, it is attention concomitant with past ignorance.
